Hex Photoshoot

Just wanted to share some of  my favorite photos from yesterdays shoot! These pictures were for a Phoenix design week project called creative roulette. Basically they pair you up with another local creative with complimentary skills and give you a product to create a marketing piece for. My partner Russ Maloney and I were given a cologne product to create a piece for. We decided to name our cologne HEX and do sort of an spooky slightly occult themed photo shoot. This is probably one of the funnest shoots I've done and I absolutely looove how the images turned out. The lighting was perfect the model was gorgeous and it was just a blast. I didn't include the final image we chose, you'll just have to wait until after the exhibit to see....ohhh the suspense!

One thing I'm kind of proud of is the props I created for the shoot. I collected some bottles and melted wax all over them to create really unique and spooky looking candles. Also I had been wanting to create some nature themed hair pieces/ crowns for awhile now and this finally gave me a reason to do it. Basically I disassembled a variety of flower arrangements I collected from a few different thrift stores and molded and braided them into crowns. I created about 6 different crowns 3 of which we were able to use for the shoot. I've been wearing the less ornate ones out for the past couple of days and have gotten a lot of positive feedback which has encouraged me to experiment a little bit more and I've been playing with the idea of adding them to the KittenPaws Shop. Speaking of the shop! I've collected so many rad things to put up I just need to take photos of it all. It's finally cooling down a tiny bit and becoming somewhat bearable to take pictures outside sooo many things are in the works and should be happening soon. Other than that I have a handful of  design projects I've been working on which has been great since this past year I've kind of been focusing more on photography and styling and slacking a bit on my graphic design skills. Life is kind of hectic right now but there are so many possibilities I'm extremely excited about. I'll try to update more I just want my posts to be quality and interesting and actually mean something so I've been hesitant to just post for the sake of posting. Any who hope you enjoy the photos and have an incredible week :)
