I turned 26 over the weekend. I don't know why but I've been completely anticipating this age. 25 is such a nice even number and 26 just feels so much older. It makes me feel like I should have so much more figured out than I do. But it's just a number. And I am still me. Every day I learn new things and hopefully am growing into the person that I was made to be. If time stood still and everything stayed exactly the way it was today or yesterday I think that would be quite uninteresting.
Besides feeling weird about age I had a really great week. Got to hang out with the boy on Friday. Ate a whole lot of tasty food, went shopping, ran errands, drank coffee, saw an awesome exhibit at Daytwelve, ended the evening drinking a cucumint at Sidebar. Pretty good times. Saturday did a photoshoot then went out with a large group of friends dancing which was CRAZY fun. Dancing is my favorite :) Sunday hung out with my sister and visited my dad in the hospital. Tuesday got my dad back from the hospital after being there for two weeks. That was probably the best birthday present :)

oh goodness 26 was tough on me to accept because I felt closer to 30 than 20 and that is a little hard to deal with. I'll be 28 later in the year and dread it. It is good you're still me!! so am I. . .but I think having kids helps age me. haha. I'm glad you had a great birthday. Happy belated special day for you!! May you be blessed and loved throughout the year. I'm glad your Dad is doing well. Why was he in the hospital?
ReplyDeleteI meant to put "still me" like that. . .looked bad how I typed it there. should have been It's good you're still you . . just fixing my error there. haha.
ReplyDeleteHahha I think I would have got what you meant and thank you for the well wishes. My dad had to have open heart surgery a couple of weeks ago and ended up having some complications with infections from IVs so he was in a bit longer than expected but he's doing much better now :)
ReplyDeletethat sounds terrible. My mom went through the same thing with her dad when she was 26 too. Not fun. I'll be praying for you and your dad and family!
ReplyDeleteYeah no fun indeed. He's got about a month of recovery and he's already doing so much better so that's good :) Thanks for your prayers!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear your Dad is doing better :)
