Here's a sneak peak from my photoshoot at Mount Lemmon with Erika for Java Magazine's April issue. I absolutely loved this shot but the mood didn't quite fit the rest of the story so I didn't include it in the editorial so you get to see it as a tiny sneak peak! As for the rest, you'll have to wait until the issue comes out on April 1st. Super happy with how everything came out and I think you will enjoy it :)

Storybook Chic
Okay, so I'll admit it. I found this dress in a costume section during Halloween time at a thrift store but I think it makes an awesome daily wear too! Definitely not appropriate for every occasion but once in awhile it's nice to add a little bit of magic and whimsy to the every day. I'm also wearing a new headband which I made last night to match my storybook dress :-)

Tourtise and the Hair Photoshoot: Behind the Scenes
If you think these pictures are rad just wait until you see which ones we picked to show at the exhibition! I know I'm getting pretty jazzed....! Today we printed the final photos, bought and cleaned frames and mounted them all. The only things left are writing our artist statement, finishing up the accompanying illustrations and hanging everything. This project has been going a lot smoother than hoped which is always excellent. Can't wait to show some of the photos from The Alice in Wonderland shoot.......stay tuned!

Snow White Photoshoot: Behind the Scenes!
Just wanted to share a few behind the scenes photos from todays shoot! For part of the project I am working on in NYC we are putting together an art exhibition. There are 7 different groups and all were assigned a word to create an art project around. Our word is reunion. We decided to do a project using fairy tale characters who were previously enemies but now have been reunited with the backdrop of a fairy tale family reunion sort of gathering. In this gathering the objects that once brought separation and conflict, in snow whites case a poison apple, now are what bring the two characters together. For this scene we decided that snow white and the witch would be bobbing for apples together. How lovely right|! Other scenes include the tortoise and the hair running a three legged race together, little red and the big bad wolf eating a picnic of chicken wings together etc etc. I won't show any of the final images until after the show, so if you are in the city you should def come out for it! The bottom photo is of myself and my collaborative group members- super talented photographer Joesph Barbier and rad-sauce illustrator Natalie Krick. The fabulous witch is played by the lovely Elizabeth Wallace and Snow White by one of my favorite people of all time, Elina Zavala! They all pretty much rock my socks off. Nough said.
