2012 Kitten Paws Vintage Summer Lookbook

As mentioned in the previous post here are the accompanying photos to the video lookbook. I had a bit of fun when putting this together and it became more of an editorial than a lookbook which I kind of like. Similar to the film it tells the story of a lost girl wandering through the desert finding life and beauty in unlikely unexpected places. If you want more of a magazine experience I also created a pdf book you can flip through individual spreads using Issuu here. Summer Photo Lookbook!

Alright as promised I'm finally sharing the Kitten Paws Vintage Summer 2011 photo lookbook! I'm pretty excited about these images as well as the video that is to accompany them coming very soon. This is my first real seasonal lookbook and I had a ton of fun putting it together.

Also you may noticed marked on every image is my new logo! I'm a graphic designer by trade and make logos for people everyday but have found it pretty difficult to brand myself and just stick with something so here's what I've come up with (for now ha) that you'll be seeing a lot more of :)

Gone Picnicin'

A little bit of sunshine

A few more teaser images from this weekends video shoot :) I have so many still images I liked and I think it's sort of fun to slowly release them rather than sudden image overload so here we are! There will be a cohesive image lookbook but for now here's a few of my favorites at a time. I think out of all of the outfits this one most embodies summer and the feeling of sunshine. Leigh looks absolutely amazing in yellow and I love how these images came out. We had already picked out the dress and the day before the shoot as I was rushing around looking for last minute things I found this hat which matched perfectly.

Lemonade Stand!

Above is just a tiny teaser of our lemonade stand setup from the video we shot yesterday! It was a pretty convincing stand as several people stopped by to try to get their 25 cent lemonade but we had to turn them away because we only had two cups and needed all the lemonade we had ha. Everything went pretty darn well and I'm extremely excited to see the final product come together. I received the still images back this afternoon which turned out pretty rad. I've put up a few teasers on the Kitten Paws Facebook Page and will continue to put up a few more in the next week until I release the official photo lookbook followed by the video lookbook. Yayyy! Can't wait to share more :)

Wardrobe Storyboarding

As of today with the help of Alex all of the wardrobe has been picked out for our summer lookbook video (shooting on Saturday yayyayay!) It was a bit more difficult than picking out wardrobe for a photo shoot because there's five girls total and all five outfits for each scene need to not necessarily match but work well together and fit the appropriate model. Usually I shoot one person at a time so I don't really have to think about coordinating with other outfits much. Anyways we nailed it down and it's going to be quite the colorful pallet! I started sort of story boarding out the wardrobe so that I remembered what combination went with what scene. I also need to make some signage, get cupcakes made and buy flowers which all need to make sense with the wardrobe and other props so the story board will help with that. Anyways a totally nerdy process post to share a tiny snapshot of what I've been up to. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!
