My Favorite Accessory

My favorite little guy was out just in time for a few outfit photos! He was out twice today maybe because it's getting a tiny bit cooler outside.

About this outfit: I may or may not have bought this dress in the childrens section, you decide ha! Paired with fancy new (old) cowboy boots, one of my favorite handmade headbands and a vintage handmade owl necklace. I'm feelin' a bit like a flower child today. Hope everyone is having a lovely day :)

Tortugas Glamour Shots

Last weekend we had just set up for Michelle's photoshoot when I spotted Mr Tortuga roaming around the backyard. He only comes out once a day for maybe a half an hour and it's usually later in the day so I was surprised to see him out.  Naturally I couldn't resist and decided to take advantage of the timing and snap a few "glamour" shots in the scene we had set up. Ridiculous, I know. I love this lil guy.... :)

Meet Mr. Tortuga

Anyone who has happened to visit my house or randomly perhaps follow me on twitter (I often post photos and videos of him) might know that I have a somewhat unusual backyard pet, a quite large desert tortoise! He's actually lived in the backyard of the house since the 1960s which makes him over 50 years old, wow! For the first month living in the house he was pretty much MIA. We thought the landlord might have changed her mind and taken him with her but one afternoon we saw him! He seemed a little bit afraid of us at first and would completely freeze and turn into a little statue but now he is much friendlier and more active and will walk right up to me. Such a funny guy, I love having him as my backyard buddy!

I've taken kind of a stupid amount of pictures of him because I think he's really cool but yesterday was the first time we got a photo together :)
