Inspiration: Shae Detar

Okay, I know I've blogged about Shae Detar's photography work a couple times already but she seriously keeps blowing me away and I have to share more. I've blogged about the darling Sareena Dominguez a few times before (and I'm sure I will again) but I just wanted to share that the album I mentioned in my previous post is finally live for the listening ears here and it sounds incredible!! Also, holy cow, check out the video above. Her first ever music video and it's amazing. For anyone who is local, Sareena is having an official release party for her album Moonbeams tonight! Check it out at the Roxy Lounge in Downtown Scottsdale from 6-9 pm. More details here.

1. The lovely James of Bleubird Vintage just posted her wedding photos and they are absolutely stunning! So many beautiful details and such an incredible venue.

Recently I came across a post on the Sally Jane Vintage blog about Autochromes, a very early color photography process. I'm completely in love with these images by Belgium Autochromist Alfonse Van Besten taken in the very early 1900s. The coloring is absolutely breathtaking....

Allison Harvard I heart You

Does anyone else watch America's Next Top Model? I've watched seasons here and there but one of my absolute favorite ladies has always been Miss Allison Harvard. This season I was super excited to hear she was being brought back to compete again in the Americas Next Top Model All Stars season.  She obviously has an incredible look but she's also extremely quirky and just all around fantastic. She is known for her giant eyes and being a bit of an odd ball (in the most delightful way ever). Also a total no drama sweetheart and vintage dress lover. I really do think we'd be friends in real life if she wasn't a super famous TV person. Love herrrr!

{PS Allison if you are reading I would love to have coffee with you and do a photoshoot! I think you are absolutely delightful!!!}

Pinterest Love

After a little over a year of having a Pinterest account I FINALLY decided to start using it. And it's awesome. So awesome. If you've never used the site before, basically it's a virtual pin board where you can collect, organize and share inspiration. Pretty simple yet.... revolutionary. Inspiration: Dreamy Spaces

 Dreamy spaces and amazing ladies: Shae Detar and Hannah Metz

As mentioned in previous posts it is still very very warm here in the desert (AZ) I've started to get really antsy and kind of super bummed out not being able to run a muck in the wilderness taking photos. I had a friend approach me a couple of months ago wanting to do a shoot and have been putting it off because of the heat but I can no longer I NEEED to photoshoot. My soul is going to start being even sadder with out it!

Our resolution, an inside shoot more focused on the styling of the space. Well most focused on the awesome clothing that she designed and will be wearing but also focused on making a cool space because my house just ain't as beautiful as the flowers and the grass and sun and the wilderness. Also I definitely have not mastered the art of non-natural lighting so anything I can do to make a photo more interesting, the better. At some point in the near future I'd like to have a well designed living space that also doubles as a place where I can take photos but right now I'm on a super budget and this space will be highly temporary including many borrowed things. It will definately be a learning experience for sure and I'm super stoked.

Edwardian Style Inspiration

I absolutely love every single thing about these images! The dress, the model, the scenery, all the beautiful little details. Makes me want to find a beautiful Edwardian style wedding gown to get married in!

Currently I have a very pretty vintage wedding gown (not Edwardian style but still very cute) in my closet that was supposed to go in to the shop but it fit too perfectly and I couldn't bare so I decided to keep for myself haha! I am not engaged but do plan on getting married someday so why not have a dress ready! I'm still not sure if it's "the one" but I definitely have time to figure it out and if it's not I suppose I can always sell it ;)

Inspiration: Closet Visit

I may have already blogged about this but I am absolutely in love with the site closetvisit.com! The site was started in October of last year by by creative lady and photographer Jeana Sohn who basically goes into creative, inspiring, stylish ladies closets and homes and takes photos. Definitely a great place for inspiration :)
