New Portfolio Site!

First of all I wanted to apologize for being extremely MIA on the blog this past week. I hate being inconsistent about blogging but sometimes you just have to take a little time off when life gets busy. One of the projects I have been working on is the redesign of my portfolio website. I'm still not 100% finished or satisfied but I think it's on a good way. Previous I had designed and created my portfolio website in dreamweaver and it looked pretty nice and I had a lot of flexibility but it was kind of a pain to update which means I hadn't updated it with new work in maybe almost a year?? Anyways I decided I wanted to use either Cargo, Indexhibit or Wordpress and Wordpress ended up winning. Feel free to check it out if you want to see the new look and some of my design and photography work :)

Website Design for Harold Studio Jewelry

Custom Website Design for HaroldStudioJewelry.com

I've been designing websites like crazy lately! Above is a site I recently designed for a really cool local jewelry studio, Harold Studio. If you are a Phoenician and you love jewelry or making things in general this is something you have to check out. Basically it's a place where you can take jewelry making classes or rent your own personal studio space. They also just started a really cool wedding ring workshop where you and your fiance can go in and design and create your wedding rings together. Super cool, right?? I did all art direction, design and coding for the website and I think it came out pretty neat :)

New KPV Business Cards

I finally got new business cards printed up for Kitten Paws, yay! I got a very small run printed about a year and a half which have long run out so I am super excited about these lil guys. They are super simple which works quite well for what I need them for. Mainly, I wanted something I could put out at shows, include in packages or give to random people I met out and about so I didn't really want them having my name or phone number on them. Anywho just got them in and I heart <3

Album Artwork - The Cold Desert

I just finished some album artwork for an awesome local band called The Cold Desert. They are putting out a new EP and judging by what I've heard so far, it's going to be really amazing. One of my all time favorite people and long time friends Matt Klassen is the lead vocalist dude. I've absolutely loved watching this kid grow into quite the musical genius over the years and am so excited about this band and this new EP. YAYY!

On a side note if you're a local The Cold Desert is playing a show tonight in downtown Phoenix at the Lexington Hotel for Spash Pool Party. Come and support local awesome!!

Ode to Southwestern-ness

Well sometimes I get bored and draw silly pictures that pledge my love for the glory that is Southwestern-ness!

Hope everyone is having a looovely Sunday! Mine has been excellent so far. This morning I woke up feeling extremely good which hasn't happened in awhile. For over a week I've been super dizzy and it looks like I might have vertigo?!? I'm still not positive but that's what it looks/feels like. Then the last two days on top of major dizzy I was having really bad migraines. So to wake up and not feel any of that was really really nice and definitely a gift from God. I'm so grateful to have a clear and creative head today :) Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday!

KittenPawsVintage at Artbomb!

Hello all! So many exciting things are in the air! Above is a perdy flier I designed for an event Kitten Paws Vintage will be a part of called ARTBOMB! Basically it's a small group of super creative local lady entrepreneurs who are putting together a small handmade and vintage pop up sale. This is my first sort of real time not on the interwebs sale so it should be interesting and fun! I'm also going to have some cards and paper goods I designed for sale as well. New Logo!

So I realized recently that I don't really have a solid established identity system. My portfolio website, business cards and printed portfolio all look completely different. You can probably tell style wise they were done by the same person, but there isn't much that ties them all together. A few months ago when I was creating a print portfolio for a few interviews I designed a new logo. It was kind of a quick design but I really liked how it turned out and decided to push it a bit further into what is above. So now that I have this pretty new logo I am in the process of applying it to my creative work. Business cards have been designed as seen above. A new header for my website has also been designed but probably won't go up for another week or so. I'm also creating some printed self promo stuff to send out to agencies / potential clients that will also have a similar look. I think it's pretty fun and encapsulates who I am and what I make. What do you think?

I Want to Take Your Picture

Just a quick little blog to share some of my recent design work. This project was in collaboration with Promise Tangeman on a tshirt design for Chicago Based photographer Kenny Kim. I had SO much fun doing these! I love doing illustrations for clothing and it's even more fun when you have a creative client!

In other news the past month I've been working on an exciting new project branding and designing for a new art gallery slash studio space that focuses on alternative processes photography. I'm also having a blast with this project. Currently we're getting the last little pieces of the website together and preparing for the opening party which is in about a month away. Can't wait to share when everything goes live :)

Exhibition Flyer!

If you are in NYC and you see one of these flyers on the street, you should follow the directions on the back and come to our exhibition July 16-18! One because it's going to be awesome and two because I designed the flyers and they are rad. You will probably end up at home crying if you don't come. There will be that much regret and remorse. Too much awesomeness NOT to handle. End of story :D

PS I redesigned the my lil blog header. What do you think? It will probably constantly be changing. Initially when I started this blog I had a separate blog for my creative work but it was getting kind of awkward to have two blogs so they are both here now which is why I wanted to change the header to something that was more generic all encompassing that said this is the blog of Tiffany and her wacky and creative adventures :)

Custom Portrait Illustrations, by Me!

Hello friends! So as some of you know over the past couple of months I've been fundraising to go to NYC this summer. I've sent out letters I'm selling some arts and now I'm offering custom vector portrait illustrations drawn by yours truly! For anyone who doesn't know I'll be interning in NYC for 6 weeks this summer to work for a non profit organization Transform Creative Ministries, a branch of Campus Crusade for Christ, on a summer project that teaches college art students how to incorporate their faith with their art. It's an incredible program, I did it two summers ago and had an amazing time of spiritual and creative growth. I'm super excited but anxious as I still have quite a bit of fundraising to do to actually get there. So thus I'm getting a little bit creative in my methods of fundraising and have decided to offer my illustration skills in exchange for donations for the trip. Above are some examples of portrait type illustrations I've made. You can also find more on my portfolio website here. If you are interested please email me at tiffany.egbert@gmail.com. Suggested rates are $75 for an individual $100 for a couple. You will get an 8.5x11 print plus the digital file to do with whatever you please :)  I will be taking orders for the next two weeks to completed within two weeks of order. Could make the perfect gift, wedding invite graphic, personal avatar, facebook pic, etc ;)

The Bears Doing Things Project

Last night I went to a little reunion with some of my classmates from ASU and boy did we have a silly time. Started out with a mild happy hour and then off to the the ASU graphic design senior exhibit and then out to dinner to eat large bowls of tortilla soup. While we were at dinner for whatever reason we got this genius idea to start a collaborative series of drawings called "bears doing things". It was really funny at the time just trust me. Any who this is my first contribution to the bears doing things project. It's the belligerent dancing bear. He just wants to dance guys. Why won't you dance with him??? Maybe cause he's a big scary bear. Oh and I hope all of you designers enjoy the Papyrus like font. I thought it screamed bear handwriting :)

Bon Voyage to the Watsons

So as of yesterday two of my best friends and most favorite people of all time moved away. I'm super bummed but extremely excited for them as they pursue all the magic that is LA and Hollywood. Adam is an incredibly talented film maker and photographer and jess is a supermodel-superbrain that has been one of my faithful Kittenpaws cover girls this past year. They are two of the greatest people ever and I am so happy for all of the fun times we've had over the past 7 years.  California is our next door neighbor state so I just need to get a lil road trip savy and everything will be okay :) I made this drawing of them on a tandem bike as a tribute to how awesome they are. I love you guys :D
